FULSHEAR (Covering Katy News) - Hundreds of people came to Cross Creek Ranch on Saturday to see the work of about 50 artists from Houston's longest running art market. Those who attended liked what they saw.
"My girls like to do a lot of art so they were really interested to go. It's our first time here," said a woman who attended the event with her daughters.
She purchased two unique paintings that she described as an acrylic with oils that looks like metal.
"It's a unique piece. I haven't seen anything like it," she said.
The painting will hang in her home.
“The participating artists are professional, local and passionate about what they do,” said Mitch Cohen, founder and coordinator of the First Saturday Arts Market in the Houston Heights and the Market at Sawyer Yards. Cohen was responsible for connecting the artists with Cross Creek Ranch.
"This is great. It's set up beautifully," said Randall Krebs who typically attends the art market in Houston's Heights neighborhood and decided see some of his favorite artists in Fulshear.
"You've got the elite of the artists. There's no doubt about it," Krebs said.
The weather was beautiful too. It was sunny with temperatures in the high 80s.
Below is a Facebook post with one of the artists who had some very interesting works of art.
