HOUSTON (Covering Katy News) – Frost Bank has started construction on a new branch that will be located on South Mason Road at the Katy Freeway.
Back in April Covering Katy told you about Frost Bank’s expansion plans for the Houston region. Frost Bank plans to nearly double the number of financial centers it has in the Houston area and the expansion includes new locations in Katy and Richmond. The expansion is underway and will continue into 2020.
Earlier this year Frost opened a new financial center at 23701 Cinco Ranch Boulevard in the former First Community Bank location across from Cinco Ranch Junior High School.
The Richmond location is expected to open next year, perhaps as early as the first quarter.
“While many other banks are reducing their presence, Frost is growing,” said Phil Green, Frost Chairman, and CEO. “Our value proposition, which promises a square deal – excellence at a fair price – and our award-winning customer service will definitely resonate with the fast-growing Houston region.”
The company expects the expansion will lead to the creation of more than 200 new jobs at Frost in the Houston region with the opening of 25 new financial centers at an average pace of about one per month through 2019 and 2020.
