KATY/HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) - Mia's Table is opening today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. in Katy at the corner of Highway 99 and Kingsland Boulevard behind the now closed Mason Jar Restaurant. . 

Well known restauranteur Johnny Carrabba owns the growing chain of restaurants which is reportedly named after his daughter. The other locations are in Houston, Webster and The Woodlands area.

The menu will be family-friendly and serve burgers, chicken-fried chicken, fish tacos and other classics. Blue Bell shakes, malts and frozen custard will be available for dessert. It is a counter service restaurant where you order your food at a counter and take it to your seat. 

A post on the Mia's Table Facebook page says the Katy location will open soon.

Mia's Table opened its first location in 2012 near the original Carrabba's on Kirby Drive in Houston.
