School Bus

FORT BEND ISD (Covering Katy News) – Fort Bend ISD has approved an increase in the minimum starting salary for school bus drivers. Effective November 4, all FBISD full-time and part-time bus drivers received a salary increase from $15.48 to $18.00 per hour. This increase is part of FBISD’s ongoing efforts to attract and retain quality drivers by offering competitive wages.

“In a large district such as ours, it is critical for all core work and services to be effectively aligned so that we can help our students achieve success,” said Oscar Perez, FBISD Chief Operations Officer. “Our bus drivers play a critical role in our District’s mission, and FBISD remains committed to offering competitive wages so that we can continue to provide an educational system that will allow all students to reach their full potential.”

FBISD currently has openings for full-time and part-time bus driver positions. Individuals interested in applying may visit the FBISD website at www.fortbendisd.com and click on the “Careers” tab.

The pay increase only applies to FBISD bus drivers not Gold Star drivers.
