ROSENBERG (Covering Katy News) - The Rosenberg Police Department and Lamar Consolidated Independent School District are investigating large fights that happened Tuesday at Terry High School. The fights involved students with staff and a police resource officer attempting to break them up. They reportedly began in the cafeteria and spread through the first floor of the school on Tuesday.
According to KPRC, a student and a police officer suffered minor injuries during the fights. There have reportedly been at least two arrests and more could be coming as the investigation is ongoing.
"The large police presence at Terry High School is due to a large physical fight. No weapons were used," said a statement from the Rosenberg Police Department. "Additional officers are remaining on scene as school lets out," the statement also said.
Police are reviewing surveillance video to determine who is responsible and exactly what happened.
