National Signing Day at Katy ISD

KATY (Covering Katy Nws) – The Katy Independent School District celebrated National Signing Day events across its high schools.  This is a day when the countless hours of practice, sweat and effort pay off for several Katy ISD athletes, as well as a memorable moment in which high school seniors sign a binding national letter of intent for a collegiate sport.

Several Katy ISD signees committed to numerous prestigious colleges across the country and more are expected to take place throughout the school year.

Cinco Ranch High School 2018 Signees:

  • Ali Russell, Soccer, Texas A&M University
  • Sophie Green, Soccer, Oklahoma State University
  • Makayla Wang, Soccer, University of Texas – San Antonio

Mayde Creek High School 2018 Signees:

  • Shay Govan, Softball and Cheer, Stephen F. Austin State University

Morton Ranch High School 2018 Signees:

  • Cameron Pina, Baseball, Salem University

Seven Lakes High School 2018 Signees:

  • Kyle Stulce, Track and Field, Texas A&M University
  • William Coakley, Swimming, Texas A&M University
  • Tonni (Beth) McNeese, Swimming, University of Kentucky
  • Morgan Janda, Volleyball, Sam Houston State University
