PATTISON (Covering Katy News) – The Royal Independent School District Early College High School had 8 students graduate with their associates degree from Lone Star College this spring.  Their college diplomas were earned even before they received their high school diplomas.

This program free to the students and can result in a big savings on college tuition for those who move-on to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Three of the students, Shauna Odum, Jenny Pierce, and Epiphany Wilson, who graduated did it as Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Members.

The Royal Independent School District is located in southern Waller County serving the communities of Brookshire, Pattison, Sunnyside and surrounding communities.

A similar program is available for Katy ISD students through Houston Community College.
