Stockdick Junior High School

Members of the Stockdick Junior High School band recently performed on a Houston TV morning show.

KATY (Covering Katy News) - The Stockdick Junior High School band has been selected to perform at the Music for All national festival in Indianapolis and is seeking donations to help pay travel costs. This is only the second time that a Katy ISD junior high school has been selected to perform at the festival.

“Providing this experience is expensive, and we are asking for your help,” said a statement from the band.

The band needs to raise $80,000 to cover the cost of attending the event.

“It will take a village to make this all happen,” said a statement from the organizers of the fundraising effort. “We could not engage in this wonderful learning opportunity and experience for the students in the SJH Wind Ensemble without your support.”

The event is March 12-14, 2020 at the Music for All National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis, IN.
