Jar Yin Chinese Restaurant Opens in Katy

KATY (Covering Fort Bend News) – Jar Yin, an authentic Chinese restaurant, has opened in the Katy area at 25830 Westheimer Parkway.

Owner Tracy Shi named the restaurant after her daughter Jia Yin, which means “good luck” or “good news” in Chinese.

“Jia sounds like Jar in English, so I changed Jia to Jar to make it easier to say for non-Chinese speakers,” said Shi. “I’m sure Jia Yin will continue to bring good luck to both the restaurant and I. As a mother I try to give my child the healthiest diet, and best life that I can. I bring that same dedication to the restaurant. We use fresh green vegetables and meat, no MSG, and minimal oil and salt. You and your children are certain to have a healthy and delicious meal. I hope that with my devotion I can bring you and your family a comfortable dining experience.”

Visit www.JarYinChineseRestaurant.com to view the menu and see the latest offers. Jar Yin is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
