Missouri City to Hold Land Use Workshop on Development Proposed at Intersection of Truesdale/Vicksburg

MISSOURI CITY (Covering Fort Bend News) – Missouri City will hold a Land Use Workshop to discuss the potential use and development of a property located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Truesdale Drive and Vicksburg Boulevard. The subject site is located north of Life Pointe Church, south of Olympia Estates, east of Olympia Estates and Vicksburg, Village of Sedona Creek and west of Vicksburg, Village of Cumberland. The workshop is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10 at Council Chambers in the City Hall Complex, 1522 Texas Pkwy.

City Council is presently considering a proposed ordinance to rezone a tract of land to allow for specific commercial land uses and development. The proposed development would include a maximum of three single-story buildings to locate a tutoring facility, a café with a multipurpose “community” room and a child care facility.

Members of the public, particularly property owners/residents of the Olympia Estates and Vicksburg subdivisions are encouraged to attend to learn more about this project and discuss the various options.

A conceptual site plan, building elevations and the draft ordinance are available for review at the City Hall Complex, 1522 Texas Pkwy. on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To RSVP for the event, get more details or submit any questions, contact the Development Services Department – Planning Division at planning@missouricitytx.gov or 281-403-8541.
