FORT BEND ISD (Covering Fort Bend News) – Richard Embrick, a Crockett Middle School teacher, has been selected to serve a three-year team, beginning this year, on the NSTA and Shell Science Teaching Award National Judging Panel. As a 2018 winner of the award, Embrick will bring recognized expertise to the panel, while serving as a deciding factor in upcoming awards programs.

“I am extremely honored and humbled to be listed in the upcoming NSTA handbook and to serve on the Shell Science Teaching Award National Judging Panel for the next three years. FBISD and the great state of Texas produces many wonderful and talented science and STEM teachers. I hope to promote the NSTA awards so that our outstanding teachers can be recognized for their hard work and dedication to students,” said Embrick.

Embrick teaches robotics and engineering, science and Career and Technical Education PLTW classes at Crockett. He is the recipient of numerous national, state and regional awards and honors.
