FORT BEND ISD (Covering Fort Bend News) – Fort Bend ISD has been named a finalist in Public Relations Society of America Houston’s 2019 Excalibur Awards Program. Presented by Comcast, the awards program honors outstanding public relations professionals, programs and tactics. FBISD is one of five finalists in the Community Relations Campaign category for its 2018 Bond Campaign, submitted by the District’s Communications team. PRSA recognizes entries in this category as complete programs that incorporate sound research, planning, execution and evaluation.
Fort Bend ISD is the only school district named a finalist in this year’s competition. Other finalists in the Community Relations Campaign category include NASA, Memorial Hermann Health System, Ten35 and Elmore Public Relations.
FBISD will be honored as a finalist, and possible award winner, at the 34th Annual Excalibur Awards ceremony and gala on June 27, where gold, silver and bronze Excalibur awards will be presented. Additionally, one outstanding public relations team will receive the 34th Annual Grand Excalibur Award, an engraved steel sword symbolizing that the highest standards in the public relations profession have been achieved.
