Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George

FORT BEND COUNTY (Covering Katy News) - Fort Bend County Judge KP George says that the County is accepting buyout and housing rehabilitation applications from homeowners who were impacted by the 2016 Tax Day and Memorial Day floods.  The Fort Bend County Disaster Recovery Voluntary Buyout Program is operated by the Fort Bend County Community Development Department and the Texas General Land Office. The program’s mission is to assist homeowners whose homes were damaged by the 2016 flooding to relocate outside the threat of flooding.

Homeowners whose property is in a Fort Bend County floodway or flood plain may be eligible to receive buyout assistance and will receive priority status. The County will assess buyout properties at pre-disaster value, and program information and assistance is available in English and Spanish.

Thanks God Bob Hebert is gone! WE asked him what he could have done better during Harvey and he said he did all the best it could have been done. No planning, nobody knew where to go, no food, water or shelter, total chaos, the Republiklans did the worst possible job, did nothing! Now finally KP is making an emergency planning and preparing for the next one and helping the people affected that Bob did not help for 1 and a half years he was still on the job...
