Picnic in Sienna Plantation Scheduled for April 13

MISSOURI CITY (Covering Fort Bend News) – The public is invited to pack towels and cameras for the Sienna Plantation Parks & Picnics Fun Fest, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13.

The free event will take place at the new Sawmill Lake Club zipline spray park, 10323 Mount Logan, and include games, a DJ and a chance to win one of three $250 gift cards.

Winners will receive gift cards to their choice of Academy, Jason’s Deli, Walmart or H-E-B. Drawings will be held at 11:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. the day of the event. Registration for the drawing is online at www.siennaplantation.com/events/s-93-1555131600/parks–picnics-fun-fest. Participants must be present to win.

“The zipline park and sprayground opened last year and our residents love it,” said Alvin San Miguel, general manager of Sienna Plantation. “It’s a great place to cool down and the 40-foot zip line is fun for everyone. We are very excited to share a part of the Sienna lifestyle with the public.”

In addition to the sprayground, activities will include bounce houses, a climbing fort, an inflatable adventure zone, jumbo Jenga, bucket pong, a giant Connect Four and more.

Attendees can bring their own picnics or purchase meals from food trucks including Bernie’s Burger Bus, Kono Pizza, Good Dog Hot Dogs, Kona Ice, Boom Box Tacos and The Waffle Bus.

Family photos will be enhanced by free pinwheels and a “See You In Sienna” pop-up selfie spot. The Instagram-worthy photo opportunity is one of several Johnson Development is installing in communities for Houston’s Largest Home Tour.

Throughout April, Johnson Development will open hundreds of model homes — including 23 in Sienna Plantation — and available homes for sale daily. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.

Tour maps and event details can be downloaded at www.houstonhometour.com.
