FORT BEND COUNTY (Covering Fort Bend News) – A man has been arrested following an apparent attempted carjacking at Grand Parkway and West Airport.

According to early reports, the victim was on the feeder road of Grand Parkway and West Airport northbound when the suspect got out of his vehicle and shot at the victim twice, grazing him once. According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office the suspect was unable to get the victim’s vehicle and took off in the car he was driving, which was reported stolen out of Houston in an aggravated robbery.

A Fort Bend County Precinct 4 deputy constable spotted the suspect’s vehicle and initiated a pursuit. The suspect began driving in circles on F.M. 1464 and the Sheriff’s Office was able to disable the vehicle with road spikes at Old Richmond and West Airport. The suspect was taken into custody.

The victim was not taken to the hospital for his injury.

The name of the suspect has not been released and this story will be updated as more information is made available.
