Person of Interest Identified in Hit and Run that Left 8-Year-Old in Critical Condition

UPDATE 11 A.M.: Angela Smith and the car involved in the hit and run have been located. Smith was found in a park in Downtown Houston.

FORT BEND COUNTY (Covering Fort Bend News) – The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office has identified a person of interest in the hit and run June 20 that left an 8-year-old girl in critical condition. The victim was hit at Bissonnet and Hodges Bend when the driver ran a stop sign, hit her and did not stop.

The person of interest is 39-year-old Angela Smith. The vehicle is a grey Nissan Altima with Texas license plate CZC1436. It has damage to the windshield. Officials say people in the MLK, Mykawa area should be on the lookout for Smith or this vehicle.
