STAFFORD (Covering Fort Bend News) – Stafford police are looking for a “person of interest” in the kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl in the early morning hours Wednesday. She was released hours later in Houston.

Sergeant Michael Ramirez with the Stafford Police Department says they believe the girl was walking to school around 7 a.m. in the 12500 block of S. Kirkwood May 1 when she was abducted. About four hours later the man dropped her off in Houston and the victim made her way home on foot. Her parents were unaware that the victim has been missing.

Stafford Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in the investigation. The man is described as a black male, possibly 25-35 years of age. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with the word “New York” written in black across the chest, grey pants and black “NY Yankee” baseball hat. He was driving a blue 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle is believed to have out of state license plates.
