Missouri City’s Non-Emergency City Offices to Close for PSRW Events on May 8 and May 10

MISSOURI CITY (Covering Fort Bend News) – All non-emergency Missouri City Ooffices will be closed on Wednesday, May 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Friday, May 10 from noon to 5 p.m. in observance of Public Service Recognition Week.

This includes:

  • City Hall, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Inspections & Permits, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Visitors Center, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Animal Shelter, 1923 Scanlin Rd.
  • Municipal Court, 3845 Cartwright Rd.

Residents who have questions about city services and programs should call 281-403-8500 and leave a voicemail message. Residents and businesses with questions about inspections and permits should call 281-403-8600 and leave a message. City staff will return all calls. For emergencies, call 911.

The Recreation & Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr., will be open on Wednesday, May 8 during normal business hours but will be closed after 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 10.

This year, Public Service Recognition Week is May 6 – 10 and nationwide, the week provides government agencies an opportunity to showcase the efforts of public employees. Missouri City is also hosting various activities to honor its employees including the Annual Employee Awards Luncheon (Wednesday, May 8; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), the traditional “Ice-Cream Social” (Thursday, May 9; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.), the annual “Barbecue Cook-Off” and Employee Relay Race (Friday, May 10; noon to 5 p.m. at Buffalo Run Park) and more.
