GALVESTON (Covering Fort Bend) – The trial of a teenager accused of shooting 10 people to death at Santa Fe High School will be held in Fort Bend County instead of Galveston County.  The Massacre happened on May 18, 2018.

State District Judge John Ellisor granted Dimitrios Pagourtzis’ request for a venue change and today announced that the trial would be held in Richmond.

The 18-year-old is charged with capital murder of eight students, and two teachers. He’s also accused of wounding 13 people last May.

Pagourtzis’ lawyers cliam that the trial needed to be moved out of Galveston County to ensure an objective jury pool could be found.
