Delays Expected at Hwy. 6 and FM 1092 This Weekend

MISSOURI CITY (Covering Fort Bend News) – Weather permitting, Missouri City staff will join striping and signal contractors on Saturday, March 16 to implement traffic and mobility enhancements at the intersection of FM 1092 (Murphy Road) and State Highway 6.

Crews will be on-site beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday and partial lane closures will be in place to accommodate the construction work. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible, however, if travelling through the intersection, they should use extreme caution and expect delays.

The work is expected to be complete by Saturday evening, but could extend to Sunday, March 17 if necessary. This mobility enhancement includes new lane assignment/configuration changes on FM 1092.

The enhancements are in motion based on the recommendations from the traffic flow study the City conducted in 2018 in partnership with Kimley-Horn.
