RICHMOND (Covering Fort Bend News) – The Richmond Fire Department was called to an early morning structure fire on Monday near the intersection of Williams Way Boulevard and FM 762.

When firefighters arrived, they found a tire shop with heavy fire throughout the building. Battalion 41 took command, while E42 supplied E41 with water. Command requested assistance from Rosenberg, Sugar Land, Pleak, Fairchild, Fort Bend County EMS, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office and a cover assignment from Pecan Grove E61. Multiple tankers were used due to the lack of fire hydrants in the area.

No injuries have been reported and the fire was put out successfully.
