ROSENBERG (Covering Fort Bend News) – Three men are in custody after a concerned Rosenberg resident called police after seeing men cutting a fence to a nearby business.
On Sunday, Sept. 8, police were called to 961 Auto Services at 3501 BF Terry Boulevard. When police arrived, they saw the damage to the fence but the suspects were no longer on the property. Police maintained surveillance of the property and three men later returned with a truck and a trailer. They loaded ATVs onto the trailer and were pulled over leaving the property. Officers were able to take all three men into custody and return the ATVs to the owner.
The suspects were identified as Joshua Gonzales, 35, Jessie Nanez, 34, and William Guzman, 19.
“These officers recognized that a crime occurred and took appropriate action by documenting it in a police report,” said Rosenberg Police Chief Jonathan White. “They could have easily gone about their day and answered the next radio call for service. What they did instead was set up surveillance and continued to ensure the security of a citizen’s property. The result of this is a testament to the dedication of Rosenberg police officers to our community. This is who we are and this is what we do.”
