ROSENBERG (Covering Fort Bend News) – A woman and a juvenile have been arrested and two men are on the run after the theft of $300,000 worth of jewelry in Rosenberg.

Around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, Rosenberg police were dispatched to a robbery at the Kay Jewlers at 24102 Commercial Drive in Brazos Town Center. As officers were responding, they located a vehicle which matched the suspect vehicle description provided by a witness. The vehicle was attempting to get back into the Houston area. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to stop, leading officers on a high speed pursuit. The pursuit continued through the cities of Sugar Land and Stafford before the vehicle came to a stop and the suspects fled on foot near the I-69 feeder road and Kirkwood Road. Officers chased multiple suspects in multiple directions through the busy intersections.

A 20-year-old woman, Jakieron Huff, and a juvenile were caught and arrested and two black males escaped on foot. The stolen jewelry, worth $300,000, was located nearby after it was abandoned during the foot chase.

Huff and the juvenile face charges including aggravated robbery, criminal mischief, evading in a vehicle and engaging in organized criminal activity
