KATY (Covering Katy News) – The Beach Club at 3131 South Lake Village Drive has reopened after being closed for renovations for the past year.

The unique facility features a pool with a sandy beach.  It is an amenity that is paid for by residents who are members of the Cinco Ranch homeowner’s association and is therefore reserved for Cinco residents and their guests.

Residents will find new bathrooms. There is also a newly constructed covered patio area with ceiling fans, tables, and chairs where residents can sit in the shade.

The new facility is also equipped with a ramp that makes it possible for handicapped access.

Volleyball fans need not worry, the volleyball net has returned to the sandy beach.

We are also told that the new sand is less conducive to holding the sun’s heat, than the sand that was previously found at the Beach Club.   Your feet will still get warm but the new sand is said to be an improvement over the what was found at the original facility.

There are two small rooms that residents can rent for birthday parties and other events.

The original Beach Club opened in 1991 when Cinco Ranch was established. This is the first major renovation of the facility.
