I-10 Waller County Accident

5:55 a.m. UPDATE:  Two lanes are now open but the removal of debris and the truck continues.

WALLER COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – An early morning truck accident is slowing traffic on I-10 eastbound in Waller County.

The accident is near Peach Ridge Road. It’s considered a hazardous materials problem.  No word on what the truck was carrying or why it’s considered a HazMat problem.

Houston TranStar confirmed the incident at 4:42 a.m. this morning.

The accident is causing a long traffic back up as people head east into the Houston area from Waller County.

The truck crashed along the right shoulder.  The right lane is blocked as first responders work to address the situation.
