KATY, FORT BEND COUNTY (Covering Katy News) - Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Major Chad Norvell filed as a Republican to run for Precinct 3 Constable on Monday. 

Norvell has 26 years of law enforcement experience and currently oversees patrol, criminal investigations, media relations and social media for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

Norvell is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who has a Bachelor's degree in organizational leadership from Mountain State University and is a graduate of the Police Staff and Command College at Northwestern University.

Norvell is a 27 year resident of the Katy area. He lives in the Firethorne neighborhood with his wife Amy and two sons, Brandon and Cody.
