Flash Flood Watch Extended

KATY (Covering Katy News) – The National Weather Service in Houston has issued a flash flood watch for the Katy area through 10 p.m. Wednesday night. Originally it was set to expire this morning.

A flash flood watch is issued when conditions are favorable for quick flooding in flood-prone areas. Frequently it is when grounds are already saturated from recent rains, or when upcoming rains will have the potential to cause a flash flood.

Covering Katy will follow the weather forecast and provide bulletins at once and news as it happens.
