KATY (Covering Katy News) – The Houston MG Car Club has chosen Katy as the place where it will host an all Texas celebration of the classic car. This will be the first time in decades that the event will be held in the Houston area and the MG Car Club has chosen Katy as the location.
“This is a special event for Katy and we are receiving great support from the city,” said Bob Chalker of the Houston MG Car Club.
The car show will be October 19 and will be held in conjunction with Katy Market Days, but the entire event will take place from October 17 to 20.
“We have planned a fun-filled four days with exhilarating country drives,” Chalker said. “There will be a visit to the Hemi Hideout.”
The Hemi Hideout is a shrine to the automobile and is located in Brookshire. They also plan stops at local establishments that are unique to the Katy area. The four days of fun will wrap up with a banquet at Midway Barbecue.
