KATY (Covering Katy News) – American Legion Post 164 and Elks Lodge 2628 will conduct flag ceremonies on Flag Day, June 14, at the Elks Lodge on Katy-Fort Bend Road.

At 6 p.m., the Elks will describe the evolution of the flag throughout American history with a procession using various flags.  At 7 p.m., Post 164 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony for old and tattered flags with the help of Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and the Sons of The American Legion. The public is invited to bring flags.

Post 164 and its Auxiliary collected old flags on two Saturdays earlier this year.
