Two-Year-Old Girls Still in Extremely Critical Condition

KATY/HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – Investigators with the Harris County Sheriffs’ Office responded to two separate incidents with children found unresponsive in family pools in the Katy area on Memorial Day. One child was found in a pool and the other was found in a hot tub that was connected to a pool.

One 2-year-old girl was found in a family pool at a residence in the 4900 block of Windcross Court, she is still listed as extremely critical as of late Tuesday morning. Family members located the toddler at around 5:40 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019.

A 2-year-old girl was also found unresponsive in a family residence pool in the 3500 block of Paintbrush Dawn Court at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. That toddler was also transported in critical condition to Texas Children’s Hospital west campus.  Her status was listed as extremely critical late Tuesday morning.

“With summer activities beginning in a few short days, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office urging parents to be aware of their children during outdoor water recreation,” said Sheriff Ed Gonzalez
