Meyers KCM Donation

Fort Bend County Commission Andy Meyers provided a $20,000 check to Katy Christian Ministries recently. The money comes from Fort Bend Charities, a nonprofit organization operated by Meyers.

KATY (Covering Katy News) - Katy Christian Ministries received two big donations from Fort Bend Charities, a nonprofit operated by Fort Bend County Precinct 3 Commissioner Andy Meyers.

Meyers presented a check for $20,000 to KCM on Monday, and he also donated meat for their food pantry.

"I am donating to them the meat that I purchased at the Fort Bend County Fair Junior Livestock Auction," said Meyers.

Katy Christian Ministries offers financial assistance, a food pantry, crisis intervention services, and domestic violence counseling.

"They have been a shining light in our community for quite some time, and I'm proud to support such a wonderful organization," Meyers said.

Funding comes from the annual Fort Bend Ranchers Ball that's hosted by Meyers to raise money for local charities.
