Thompson files for re-election

KATY, FORT BEND COUNTY (Covering Katy News) - Constable Wayne Thompson has filed for re-election. The announcement was made on Facebook Wednesday night.

"Tonight, I filed for re-election as your Fort Bend County Constable, Precinct 3. It has been a distinct honor and privilege to serve you. I am humbly asking for your support," Thompson wrote.

Thompson is completing his first term.

"I am not running for me, I am running for you and those I work with. I am not running on what I will do, I am running on what WE have done," Thompson wrote. "We have set the standard and raised the bar. We have changed the face of the Constable’s Office in Fort Bend County."

Mohammed "Mo" Nehad Abdulhameed is also running for Fort Bend County Precinct 3 Constable as a Democrat.
