Alleged Katy Burglar Arrested

KATY/HARRIS COUNTY (Covering Katy News) – Deputies from Constable Ted Heap’s Office recently arrested Brian Thomas Stone on felony burglary charges. He’s accused to burglarizing Katy area properties.

Stone, 30, was arrested in the 22400 block of Wildwood Grove on Saturday, July 7, after several homeowners reported a suspicious man climbing over fences in the Cinco Ranch and Cornerstone Place neighborhoods of Katy.

Precinct 5 deputies set up a perimeter in the area, and, with the help of a K-9 unit from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, were able to find and arrest Stone without further incident.

In the suspect’s possession, they found several items stolen from nearby residences. Those items were returned to their owners.

In addition, deputies found two iPads which were later found to be stolen in a burglary at a nearby preschool in the 1500 block of S. Peek Road.

Stone is being held in the Harris County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
