Clay Road Fatal

This rig struck a pedestrian on Clay Road at about 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

HOUSTON (Covering Katy News) - A pedestrian was killed on Clay Road at Eldridge Parkway after being struck by an 18-wheeler Tuesday night. The accident happened at about 9 p.m., September 10, 2019.

Houston Police say the victim was a pedestrian and the truck driver did not see him until it was too late to stop.

The H-E-B truck driver was heading eastbound on Clay Road. The pedestrian was walking in the roadway. 

Police say it's not clear why the man was walking in the roadway. They also say the driver showed no signs of intoxication.
