FORT BEND COUNTY (Covering Katy News) - Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Constable Trever Nehls will not seek a third term and appears to be setting the stage for a run for sheriff of Fort Bend County Sheriff.

Last month, Trever’s brother, Sheriff Troy Nehls, announced he will not seek a third term as Sheriff and formed an exploratory committee for Congressional District 22. Sheriff Nehls is expected to announce his Congressional campaign in December.

Constable Nehls, who is also a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve, is currently serving overseas in the Middle East and is not expected to return to the states until sometime early 2020.

“I am honored to help my brother while he’s serving overseas in defense of our country”, said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “I will continue to encourage my brother to run for Sheriff of Fort Bend County. He has the skill-set, experience, and proven servant leadership. He would make an excellent Sheriff.”

The Republican Primary election is March 3, 2020. Filing deadline for candidates is December 9th, 2019.

This guy colluded with ex-DA John Haley to dismiss assault charges against Trever Nehls using a corrupt tactic changing courts and re-making a defective instrument of charge. Noting it is illegal for the DA to give advice to the defendant, Trever Nehls showed up with two cases of law telling the judge he must dismissed the case, even when Trever said he never say the instrument of charge, showing clearly that he and the DA John Haley committed a felony conspiring to dismiss the case. They told Trever to let the case start so the judge by law had to dismiss it due to the defective instrument of charge they conspired to re-make after transferring to another court in Joe Clauser court. They conspired to delay the trial so the statue of limitations passed and they could not refile the case even if they would correct the instrument of charge. These people are crooks! Google Troy Nehls or Trever Nehls keepusahonest and you will find all the open records requests concerning these crimes.
