FULSHEAR (Covering Katy News) - Fulshear's Huggins Drive will be extended to FM 359 now that the City of Fulshear has obtained a right of way and land near Primrose Park. The land purchase, approved by city council, will eventually allow for the creation of another east-west corridor between FM 359 and Katy Fulshear Road.
The Blackburn family owns the land and will reportedly be paid $280,000 followed by subsequent payments of at least $20,000 per year for 15 years.
The immediate goal of the project is to connect FM 359 to Charger Way.
The agreement also reportedly provides about six acres of land to be used for drainage and walking and biking trails.
No timeline for construction has been set.
