WEST HARRIS COUNTY - The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating a husband who took his wife to Methodist West Hospital for treatment of stab wounds because they believe he may be the person who stabbed her.

"Harris County Sheriff’s Office units are investigating a possible aggravated assault incident between a husband-wife," Sheriff Ed Gonzales Tweeted on Thursday. "Injured female was taken to a hospital at 18500 Katy Fwy with stab wound(s) by her husband, the alleged suspect. "

At the time the woman was in critical condition and was taken by Life Flight to another hospital according to the Sheriff.

"The injured female has been stabilized at the hospital and is expected to survive," Gonzalez Tweeted at 8:20 a.m. Thursday. "Details remain fragmented, investigation is on-going to determine the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. The initial location where incident occurred is also not known.‬"

Covering Katy will update this story as more information is made available.
