Correction: An earlier report said the Cal Neff was running in the Boston Marathon. This report has been corrected as Mr. Neff is not planning to run the Boston Marathon.
CITY OF KATY (Covering Katy News) – Calum “Cal” Neff set a Guinness world record at the Katy Half Marathon. He not only won the race in a time of 1:11:27, he did it while also pushing a stroller with his 11-month old daughter Holland. He now holds the record for running the fastest half marathon while pushing a stroller.
He ran with a Thule Glide which is commercially available to any mom or dad. Guinness rules say the push stroller must be one anyone can buy with no modifications.
Eight months later, Neff ran a full marathon in Toronto and set the Guinness world record for the fastest time pushing a stroller 2:32:22. In the Canadian race, he was pushing his 4-year-old daughter Alessandra.
Neff lives in Katy but grew up in Canada.
