HOUSTON (Covering Katy News) – First Baptist Church minister Jerrell G. Altic, 40, will turn himself in this morning at 9 a.m., on charges that he embezzled more than $800,000 from his former employer over a six-year period that ended in Nov. 2017.

A Harris County grand jury indicted Altic on Monday.

Dane Shiller of the Harris County District Attorney’s office says prosecutors will provide additional details of the alleged crimes when Altic appears in the 176th District Court.

The case is being handled by Assistant District Attorney Lester Blizzard, chief of the Money Laundering Division at the Harris Count District Attorney’s Office.
