The Ventana Lakes neighborhood of Katy is off of Clay Road a short distance west of Highway 99.
The suspects were captured on home security cameras in the predawn hours of Thursday, Oct. 24. At approximately 1:15 a.m.
The suspects can be seen making their way through the neighborhood, testing car doors and entering those that are unlocked. This type of crime has been a problem in the Katy are for years and the solution is to lock your car doors after dark.
"Several homeowners reported that their vehicles were burglarized that night, including homes in the 4000 block of Trento Court, 4500 Stolz Trail, and the 4600 block of Stolz Trail," said a statement form Constable Heap's office.
"Both suspects appear to be slender young males. One is a tall white or Hispanic male with close cropped hair wearing an athletic sweatsuit and dark sneakers," the statement said. "He can be seen exiting an unlocked vehicle after rummaging through its contents. The second suspect, across the street, also appears to be a slender white or Hispanic male in dark clothing."
