CINCO RANCH (Covering Katy News) - The Walk to End Alzheimer’s held in Cinco Ranch was a big success according to organizers. There were more than 1,000 participants and it raised nearly $169,000 on September 28, 2019 at LaCenterra.
Financial services firm Edward Jones is a major sponsor of the event nationwide. Katy based Edward Jones Financial Advisor Matt Steger helped organize a team that raised more than $10,000 in donations.
“Seeing the Katy community come together to raise awareness and funds to enhance Alzheimer’s care and support and advance critical research is satisfying on so many levels," said event manager Fredy Batres.
"More than 390 thousand Texans are living with the disease, and every dollar we can raise helps increase research into reaching our organization vision, which is a world without Alzheimer’s," Batres said.
