Suspect arrested

UPDATED AT 4:45 p.m. Tuesday with suspect's name and the name of the hospital where she works. 

KATY (Covering Katy News) - The Fort Bend County Precinct 3 Constable's Office has tracked down and arrested a woman who is accused of forging prescriptions from a stolen prescription pad.

The suspect's name is Ashley Fuentes and she was arrested at Oak Bend Hospital in Richmond, where she works.

An alert pharmacist reported that an unknown woman purchased Alprazolam/Xanax, a controlled substance, on Oct. 31. The pharmacist works at the CVS store at the corner of Highway 99 and Westheimer Parkway in Katy. 

"Through our office’s investigation we learned the suspect was being investigated by another local agency for the same crime at another CVS pharmacy," said a statement from Constable Wayne Thompson's office. "Our office was the able to obtain an arrest warrant for obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, a 3rd Degree Felony."

"The suspect was located at her place of employment and was placed under arrest," the statement said.
