KATY (Covering Katy News) - Voters who live in the Willow Creek Farms Municipal Utility District approved two referendums on Tuesday that allows the subdivision to contract with the Katy Fire Department for service, and allows the MUD to issue a property tax to fund the fire protection service.

Proposition A asked residents who live in the unincorporated Willow Creek Farms MUD to contract with the City of Katy Fire Department for fire protection. The vote was 136 for and 2 against. 

Proposition B asked voters to approve a property tax not to exceed ten cents per hundred dollar valuation to fund the fire protection service. That measure passed with 117 people voting yes and 18 voting no.

The Willow Creek Farms MUD is located in Waller and Fort Bend Counties.
